Know your Bengaluru

ISKCON Bangalore, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness was inaugurated in 1997 to promote Vedic culture and spiritual learning. Located on the West of Chord Road in Rajaji Nagar, Bangalore, the temple complex has been a major tourist attraction. Akshayapatra, the mid-day meals programme for Govt. schools across Bangalore has its mechanized kitchen in the ISKCON complex. During August, the temple is grandly decorated on Sri Krishna Janmashtami to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna.
