Lal Bagh Republic Day Flower Show 2013 is to be inaugurated by the honourable CM at 10:30 a.m. on 25th Jan. This year, the floral attractions are 35 ft tall Eiffel Tower, 6 ft high Swami Vivekananda ( towards his 150th birth anniversary), Anthurium Barbie, besides Thai art, Ikebana, Indian floral art, Bonsai, vegetable carvings, potted plants etc. The annual flower show was started by superintendent of Lalbagh GH Krumbiegal in 1912. Now it is jointly organized by Mysore Horticultural Society and the Department of Horticulture.
Date : 18 - 28 Jan 2013. ( 24 Jan exclusively for children. No public entry)
Entry fee : Rs.40 for adults and Rs.10 for children below 12. ( free for school children on 24 Jan)
Parking : Only school buses can park inside. Others at Shantinagar TTMC on Double Road
