Know your Bengaluru

Lal BaghLal Bagh is hosting its 199th biannual flower show, also marking the 50th year of the Horticultural Department. Organized by the Department of Horticulture and the Mysore Horticulture Society, the show was inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddharamaiah on 17th January and will conclude on the Republc Day, 26th of January this year. Special attractions this season: 18 ft tall floral tower in the glass house and those amazingly cute floral forms of mushrooms, garlic, onion, carrot, pine-apple, chilly, banana, pomagranate etc., a replca of the world's largest flower Rafflesia Arnoldii and an exhibit of pictures by the Horticultural Dept. Show timings: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entry fee: Rs.10 for children below 12 years. Rs.40 for adults on weekdays and Rs.50 on weekends.
