Lalbagh Republic Day flower show 2024 was inaugurated by Hon. CM Siddaramaiah on 18th January, and ended on 28th January. The theme this year was Lord Basaveshwara or Basavanna, the 12th century philosopher & social reformer. The main attractions were: miniature of Basavanna's house, replica of Anubhavamantapa, an academy of philosophers in the 12th century, statues of contemporaries Allama Prabhu and Akka Mahadevi, a representation of Ishtalinga, depiction of a vachana concert, besides live recitals of the vachanas at the Band Stand. This year, the show reportedly drew 5 lakh visitors and collected 25.9 Cr in entry fees.
