LalbaghLalbagh is hosting its 205th flower show, on the event of the 68th Republic Day, from 20th to 29th January 2017. Special attraction is the floral replica of the Gol Gumbaz (Bijapur). Cymbidium orchids from Sikkim and Begonia varieties steal the show. Another coincidence is that 3 Talipot palm trees, known to have the largest inflorescence blooming once in its lifetime of 60 to 80 years, have bloomed now in Lalbagh! Sadly, the palm will die after bearing fruits. This year, no-selfie zones have been declared.
