Know your Bengaluru

Deepotsava, the festival of lights is a grand annual celebration during the month of Karthika, at ISKCON Bangalore. Starting 7:30 p.m. during the evenings of October 18 - November 17, 2013, Sri.Radhakrishnachandra temple at the ISKCON complex will be illuminated by thousands of lamps of various shapes and sizes. This festival is celebrated by ISKCON to commemorate Damodara Lila - Lord Krishna's childhood pranks of stealing butter. The International Society for Krishna Consciousness was inaugurated in 1997 to promote Vedic culture and spiritual learning. Located on the West of Chord Road in Rajaji Nagar, Bangalore, the temple complex has been a major tourist attraction.
