ECity TravelLalbagh Botanical Gardens will host the 207th biannual flower show in the event of our 69th Republic Day this year. Special attraction this time would be a 30-feet replica of Gomateshwara (Lord Bahubali) made of synthetic fibre and PoP, in the Glass House. The theme this year would be Mahamastabisheka ceremony in Shravanabelagola which falls in February. 30 ft replica of the hill and scene of Mahamastabisheka will be the other attractions. For the first time : millets, rangolis and art work using vegetables would be used to decorate the Glass House. Horticultural Society has future plans to employ 40 sculptors of Shilpakala Academy to create about 60 carvings from 200+ year old eucalyptus, mango and mahogany trees that have fallen. Plans are on to permanently feature a mini Niagara in the garden! One can only wish that some picturesque location of our own country be featured with pride...  Read more about Lalbagh botanical gardens in Bengaluru
