Bengaluru TravelLalbagh flower show commemorating the 72nd Independence Day, was inaugurated by the honourable Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on 4th August, and open to public till 15th August. The 208th annual flower show was dedicated to the martyrs of Armed Forces. Special attractions were floral models of fighter jets and war helicopters. 85th anniversary of the Kannada film industry was also celebrated with floral replicas of old film reel, clapboard and cameras. The ticket for adults was priced at Rs.70, costlier by Rs.10 due to GST. The horticulture department did not include GST, during the last two flower shows, attracting a penalty of more than Rs.1 crore.
