Lalbagh Botanical Gardens will host the 209th biannual flower show starting 18th January, in the event of our 70th Republic Day this year. Theme this year will be Mahatma Gandhi in lieu of his 150th birth anniversary on October 2, 2019. Special attraction: floral replica of Sabarmati ashram and the Raj Ghat memorial. Other attractions: Millet based installations of Gandhi with children, PoP replica of Bapu Kuti, one of the houses he stayed in Maharashtra, Gandhi with wife Kasturba, the Dandi March, 3 monkeys. Walls of the Glass House will depict his milestones in Karnataka, historically famous messages and quotes.
