All SaintsAll Saints Church on Hosur Road is 150 years old. The church was built in 1870 by the founder of Bishop Cotton High School, Rev Samuel Taylor Pettigrew with donations from the public , on land that the CSI claims was donated to them by Krishnaraja Wadiyar III. When the CSI accepted Rs.60 Cr as compensation from BMRCL, the Defence ministry claimed ownership of the land. Activists and members of the church are protesting against land acquisition & felling of trees by BMRCL for Namma Metro project. The enchanting church is built in Gothic revival style. The church is home for more than 100 old trees, an old age home and a school for special children.   See more on churches in Bengaluru
