ECity TravelInfant Jesus Church: In the mid sixties, Fr. Paul Kinathukara bought a rose garden in Somanahalli which is present day Vivek Nagar, to fulfill his dream of building a church to extend pastoral care for areas around Somanahalli. The church was opened in 1979 and the shrine next to church in 1989, to honour Infant Jesus of Prague. The fan shaped prayer hall has a capacity for 2500 people. Devotees of all faiths throng to this church on Thursdays. The Infant Jesus here is believed to have miraculous powers and pilgrims of all religions pray with petitions. Thanks giving ads to Infant Jesus are published in Bangalore editions of leading newspapers on Thursdays.
