Electronic City is located at 12.85°N 77.67°E in Bangalore South on NH7. It is about 9 km from the Silk Board junction (Madiwala), 18 Km from Vidhana Soudha & 70Km from the new Kempegowda International Airport - KIA, Devanahalli. The Electronic City Industrial Estate is spread over 903 acres and 11 Guntas of land. Increasing demand for land in and around the industrial area, led to the extension of Electronic City, which now has 3 phases, Phase I, Phase II and Phase III. Phase II is spread over about 340 acres. Additional land of 122 acres was acquired in 2003, for formation of Phase III. While Phase I is completely to the western side of Hosur Road, Phase II lies on either side. To simplify, the area has been renamed as East and West. Electronics City West comprises all of Phase I and a small part of Phase II. Electronics City East comprises the rest of Phase II.
