About Electronic City
History of ECity
Electronics City is the brainchild of Rama Krishna Baliga (1929-1988), who was the first Chairman & MD of Keonics (Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation). His vision was to make Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India.
In 1978 Keonics established Electronics City on 332 acres of land in Konappana Agrahara and Doddathogur village, Begur Hobli, Bangalore South Taluk.
