NTTF is an ISO 9001-2000 Certified Institute imparting technical training in 22 Training centres with 10000+ students. The Technical Training institute at Nettur was started in 1959 by Dr.Heinrich Hellstern, Director of HEKS (development agency in Switzerland). Nettur Technical Training Foundation was formed in 1963, created with active technical support and knowledge transfer from Swiss industries and training institutions. The foundation has successfully developed and promoted technical training for gainful employment, as an alternative to the conventional academic education.

NTTF has 400+ full-time faculty in 22 centres located in 8 states at Bangalore, Bellary, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Dharwad, Gannavaram, Gopalpur, Jamshedpur, Lakshmeshwar, Mehbubnagar, Murbad, Tellichery, Trivandrum, Tumkur, Tuticorin and Vellore. In Bangalore, NTTF is located in Electronic City and in Peenya. Karnataka has 4 more training centres in Bellary, Dharwad, Lakshmeshwar and Tumkur. Mr.N.Reguraj is the MD and Mr.K.Venugopal, the Director of NTTF. The NTTF training centre in Electronic City which was started in 1983, is headed by the Director Mr.N.Arul Selvan with Mr.P.Pari as Principal.
