    Corporate Social Responsibility - CSR
Making it work for your organization
30th August 2013

MAKING IT WORK FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION

The orientation towards sustainable value in terms of human, social, environmental, and economic capital is at the crux of corporate social responsibility (CSR). It refers to business engagement that creates economic value for itself while meeting social, ethical, legal, and public expectations. Thus, CSR is the management of a company's impact on its stakeholders, the environment, and the community in which it operates and is more than just a philanthropic activity for some charitable causes. Today, CSR has attracted public attention and has received global resonance, as the risks associated with unbridled growth are becoming realities. As the demands on business to be accountable are constantly becoming more complex and challenging, CSR provides the means to understand and appreciate these challenges more clearly.
